T-Mobile and Meru Networks have teamed up to
bring UMA (unlicensed mobile access) cellular Wi-Fi roaming technology to enterprises. The partnership will make it possible for mobile users with dual-mode cellular Wi-Fi handsets making calls through Meru-equipped corporate WLAN connections to seamlessly transfer to the T-Mobile GSM/GPRS network when they leave their offices. T-Mobile also offers a residential UMA service called Hotspot@Home.
